So, I was wondering where the Brownells MPO was made and as others have mentioned it looks like it's in the JOL plant along with the Crimson Trace and etc.
Then I looked at some of the scopes they offer and started wondering what other makers use this same plant. Doing a little cross-referencing, I noticed that Riton has two scopes that fit two of those made in JOL to a tee. I then verified that that the 5-25x56 scope they offered is made in Japan.
In esense, this scope is a very, very, close cousin to the Brownells MPO scope in those same magnification. A bit of cosmetic difference and a reticle change being the primary variances.
Assuming that is true, that could make that scope a heck of a bang for the buck given the price of the Riton.
Does anyone have anything, good or bad, to say about them? I found an old thread but it didn't have a lot of first hand experience on those.
