RND MANUFACTURING

Re: RND MANUFACTURING

Not trying to jump you or anything here. But you may want to hold off on the caps. On the net it is considered shouting and I doubt that is what you were trying to convey.

Good luck in finding more info on RND. You may want to try utilizing the search button on here and use the advanced feature where you can pick what sections to search.

Re: RND MANUFACTURING

Anyone knows what has happened at RND MANUFACTURING. I have been trying to contact LLOYD for 3 weeks now and have spoken to him just twice.I bought 3 rifles from him (408-338 lapua-338 rum)and I needed some service but he seems to have vanished, not answering my calls or e-mails.Any help would be appreciated. I know JIMMY402 is a good friend of his and maybe he can chime in and offer some help.

Re: RND MANUFACTURING

I guess spending 24k on three RND EDGE rifles does not get you any customer service anymore. All i can say is everyone please be careful who you buy from.
Never had a problem with BILL RITCHIE (510 DTC-50 BMG-408 WINDRUNNER), great customer service. The same goes for DAVID VIERS (375 SNIPETAC), another great rifle builder with great customer service.I also own the original 408 INTERVENTION in the movie (SHOOTER). BILL RITCHIE also made that rifle for me ,when he manufactured the riles for CHEYTAC. Picked it up from DAVE DURHAM when he was running things for CHEYTAC in Arco Idaho.
Now you can see that i like great guns that shoot well and having the company,s that i buy from offer good customer service. My RND RIFLES, look awesome, perform great, but the customer service suck,s. I SURE hope that MR. LLOYD DeSANTIS, get,s to read this article and gives me a call. By the way, that is my 408 RND 2500 EDGE rifle that he advertises on his website. It shoot,s very well and it,s the best looking rifle that i own. Thank,s for your time reading this article.

I beg to differ regarding the customer service from EDM Arms, while certainly Bill Ritchie is a pleasure to deal with when you can get a hold of him, the BITCH of a secretary/receptionist who answers the phone is a complete and total joke!

After getting my rifle with an upgraded custom barrel, I noticed my receipt didn't reflect as such. The only thing the receipt said was bull barrel, so I asked could I get a receipt with the total payments made, the price on the upgraded barrel, and the barrel specs and manufacturer. This was all basically a no go with this broad, 1st she tries to give me the info over the phone, which I immediately told her I wanted it on a receipt in case I sold the rifle or just for my records for reference. Of course I get sent another receipt that had the same info as the 1st receipt. And to shorten the story, this was a back and forth for over a year, she would try to give me info over the phone which was infinitely stupid, telling me the barrel wasn't threaded when I needed to know the thread pitch, giving me the wrong barrel manufacturer, giving me the wrong length, ect, ect.

Bottom line is I'll never deal with EDM Arms again unless absolutely necessary, I wanted some of their accessories but I'll spend it on something else. One of their dealers said he has the same issues with this idiot chick.

Re: RND MANUFACTURING

I totally agree with everything you said. When you are calling EDM ARMS, ask to talk only with BILL, otherwise you will only get the some kind of malarkey. She,s really lame.

Well, I've tried asking for Bill but according to Ms. Airhead, he's never around and I end up leaving a message which always goes un-returned. I've been told he's supposedly dating this chick and that's why she's still there and seems to do what she wants to do. But I must say, I did speak to Bill about getting a different muzzle brake which he had done for another customer, however he never got back to me on that.

Anyhow, when I received my rifle, one of the bipod legs was damaged and wouldn't retract, so bill said send it back and he'll replace it. Suffice to say I'm not sending anything to them for fear of not getting it back because of what I've been through just to get a receipt.

Re: RND MANUFACTURING

NLA, you've probably caught Lloyd during the move to AL. He's normally very responsive, from my experience. Best of luck resolving the issue.

Re: RND MANUFACTURING

Well guy,s, i finally got a call from LLOYD,monday morning at 5am(hawaii time). He was a little disturbed that i made those statements on sniper,s hide about the ability to contact him from 10/05/11 to 10/17/11 He explained to me that he was out of the office during that time period and could not take any calls.I told him of my concerns and that we would put this misunderstanding behind us. I know from dealing with him these last couple of years that he is a good guy and has always responded with a kind word and was always very helpful.
Lloyd, i apologise for the mishap and will continue to do business with you because you really do make some awesome rifles. Aloha from HAWAII!

Re: RND MANUFACTURING

Lloyd/RND makes some great products.... I have learned when you get a lead time on anything custom firearm or 4x4 related to double it in your head. 2weeks=4weeks... Many company's who make custom aftermarket parts don't produce 100% of the product(they may be waiting on a supplier to finish an order). Also many small business owners travel from time to time and or work crazy hours....

just my 2 cents

Re: RND MANUFACTURING

For what it's worth LLoyd made the bipod for my 375CT and it is a well engineered and machined piece of hardware. He told me it would take a few weeks to get and that's what it took.

LLoyd was a pleasure to work with and I would/will buy from him on my next build.

I dealt a good bit with Lloyd and with Edm. I have nothing but good things to say about dealing with both. Getting ready to get ahold of Lloyd for another project and always enjoy speaking with him. His machining and knowledge is amazing.

I spoke with Lloyd a couple month,s ago and he is making a 338 for a client in Maui. It will be sent to the client using my FFL. I guess I will be hearing from Lloyd very shortly and will keep the Hide posted.
