Rock Creek barrels?

I am having a smith assemble a barrel for my DTA. It is going to be a 308 with a 1 in 11 or 1 in 10 twist and 20" long.

The only barrel that I would consider that I can get now is a Rock Creek. Everything else is months out. (Kreiger, Bartlin, Broughton)

Opinions please on the Rock Creek.

They are excellent barrels. I have a couple different rifles with their barrels including bolt guns and one semi-auto 308. They are excellent, high-quality barrels that in my experience are as good as the best available.

Is this barrel for the SRS chassis? If so keep us updated as I will be looking for someone to make me some SRS barrels in the future.

I have built 6 now about to send in a barrel 7th to the smiths. Rock is great, and the people are great there as well. Paul ships fast, and answers questions here all the time. Great bunch of guys to deal with.

I'd love to visit and tour their shop one day since I travel in WI (hint hint

)

Get one, all my sticks have been tack drivers that outshoot me and my friends

They will shoot as good as the others.

Had a Rock 1/11.25. Shot as well as my other top-end barrels. Shot it out some time ago. You probably could get a Schneider mil spec left over pretty fast to.

My Rock is pretty fast, and I have heard others say the same thing, you won't be sorry.

Great barrels and good people. There are some logistical advantages to working with a bigger firm like Krieger, but the Rock Creek barrels are great.

I am happy about what I am hearing. It looks like my gottahaveitnow-itus won't require me to compromise this time. I'm going to order that sucker monday morning. Hopefully I will be shooting in under a month.

I love my Rock Creek .308 barrel; as long as I'm paying attention, it shoots bughole groups.

My gunsmith use's them alot (Bijou Creek) and built me a 338 Lapua with one and sub 1/2" was no problemo!

I've had Rock tubes on 338LM,300WM and a 308. Outstanding choice of barrel.

Got one on my .280AI and love it . Plan on getting two more shortly for a switch barrel build.

Have rocks on 300wm, 308, 6.5, and one coming for a 223! Great shooters and folks in the shop are very helpful!
