Rock River ATH????

Re: Rock River ATH????

No experience with that exact rifle, I've always had my RRA's made to my specifications. However I'll give my opinion on some parts of the rifle.

I like the operator stock, for me it gives a much better cheek weld than a standard stock.

The railed tubes don't do anything for me, I don't hang a bunch of crap off my rifles and grabbing the rails always felt uncomfortable to me. The half rails are a decent compromise.

Accuracy shouldn't be a problem with an RRA and the two stage triggers are great.

I find the heavy barrels to be a bit much. Might not be an issue with the 18", but the longer ones made the rifles feel unwieldy.

Just my opinion, I'm sure others will disagree. Best thing to do is get ahold of one and see how it feels to you.

Re: Rock River ATH????

I own a RRA ATH upper which I have on a Noveske lower with a ACS-L stock with a Vortex Viper PST 2.5x10 and I couldn't be happier. I am getting groups around 1"-1.5" with burner ammo and around .5" with handloads. I'll provide targets and pics as soon as I get home. Buy with confidence!

The handguard/rail system on the ATH is very comfortable and different from most. The barrel is extremely rigid with no play at all in mine. The only thing it is missing is a QD point IMO.

Re: Rock River ATH????

I have an RRA ATH I took it out this Monday for the first time. It shot way better than I thought .5 inch groups with Black Hills 69 smk. This is my first AR wasn't sure what to expect, since all I have shot are bolt guns. I'm very pleased and with more practice I'm sure the groups will get better. If you want more info on the ATH go to Predtor Master Forums lots of info on that gun just use the search engine ATH Range Reports you will find everything you need about it.

Re: Rock River ATH????

I have two of 'em. With 60 gr Vmax, and a good optic, I can shoot .5. I'm no shooter. Just a bipod and a good bag. I have half quad rail on one, and a full rail on the other. It's a top notch firearm.
