Ashbury sent along a Hot Pink Saber-Forrst Chassis, and today we barreled it up with a Remington 5R in .223.

Adam from Mile High opened up the base screws and straightened them out a bit. (stock holes were a bit off, go figure)

Action work done, Thanks Adam !

Then into the Chassis adding the full length rail

    Finally the finished product,

I don't recommend letting your wives or daughters see this, it will not end well or at least without a phone call to Ashbury Precision Ordnance.

Thanks to Mile High & APO

Now, just to scope it !

And, while I realize it may be a mock up photo, it is a bad idea to run any metal working tool without eye pro, much more dangerous than shooting without it. Just ask my left eye!

The machine wasn't on, he was just testing the indictor and positioning the tool.
I figured it was something along those lines, just thought I'd throw that out there for the betterermentness of the group. My 6 year old daughter was looking over my shoulder and saw that rifle and has been begging for the last five mikes. Apparently the pink .22 cricket isn't going to cut it anymore!

    I warned you !

How do you think I ended up building this... it's like Eye Crack for Girls... they only need one peek and their addicted

Yeah, I have three red head daughters and a wife. The 6 and 4 year olds could smoke most grown men with a .22 and their mom shoots handuns and LR with good form as well as bow hunts. It gets expensive. I will say the above .223 has nothing on my 4 year olds pink .22 covered in mini mouse stickers! I'll have to throw some pics up, and yes, she is still begging..... Thanks a lot!

Fuck the "don't let your wife see it" comment, I want that rifle for ME!

How does that not surprise me?

I shot a revolver match for fun with a J-Frame and pink grips. Everybody was laughing at me the whole time. I think I came in second or something like that.

When my wife earned her Distinguished Rifleman in 1991, I told her she could paint her AR-15 any color she wanted. We got it painted bright pink and she took it to Camp Perry. This was back when M14s were still king. One day, the head match directory was walking buy, took a long look at her rifle, shook his head, and said "I dont know if that's legal", then walked away. Now days, of course, you see rifles of every color, but not back then. She was also the first one to wear pink camos at Perry. We had to dye them our self. No one made them back then.

I just saw the donor barreled action @ Mile High last week and thought "That'd be nice in a new stock"

Now I know where it went (the muzzle is somewhat uniquely configured).

Nice looking, Frank. Those APO systems are pricey but really friggin nice pieces of equipment. From 1st hand experience with APO's and 223 DBM setups, the AICS 223 mags are much better than the Accurate Mag version.

You don't know how you got the baby ? maybe you need to check on some things :)

Ashbury Precision Ordnance makes the Chassis, just order one from them and drop in a rifle

Don't know how I ended up with a girl - I checked the Hide's DIY threads on making snipers...but to no avail. ;)

We'll see if she will want to rock the pink in a few years.

I have the CAN, i just didn't have a chance to mount it... I have JET I am putting on it. As it was, I had to give it to Mile High to drive it out for me.

Speaking of what kind of Dad, she hates the S&B and wants me to put the NF 2.5-10x 42mm on it, she was poo pooing that 3-12x the entire day.
