Anyone using the RRS Pro Clamp for Atlas Bipod, I'm ordering an Atlas CAL & don't really like the ADM lever mount, the hex head adjustment just does not get it for me, the ones I have had seem to be either just barley tight or too tight just cant seem to get adjusted right, mounting on badger rails on Manners stocks, thinking about the RRS Pro Clamp I know RRS makes some really nice stuff, anyone using one of these & have any input.

^^^ What he said. Full disclosure: I have the RRS adapter for Harris bipod. If I decide to wade into the Atlas waters, it wil be the CAL (BT65-NC) mounted with the RRS adapter.

I have the Pro Clamp (knob) for Harris and the SOAR clamp (lever) for my CAL. The pro clamp is great for what it is, but the SOAR clamp is well worth the additional investment.

They are pretty cool. Add a bit of weight, height and obviously $$ though. I'm converting all my bipods to this clamp now.

RRS website says the bipod clamp adapter does not work with the CAL, these pic's are not the CAL bipod, is there something I'm missing here.
hmm i never noticed it says that on the webpage. Ive ordered a clamp adapter and a clamp for a new no dye CAL coming shortly. Maybe PM Kasey and ask him? or the RRS guys?

Where does the RRS site say a clamp doesn't work with CAL? The RRS page for BTC-Pro doesn't say anything about not working with CAL and the info I've gotten thus far says this clamp is the one to use with the NC (no clamp) Atlas units...

Shot a match today. Had two stages where I needed to fold/unfold the legs fast. The Harris with a podok and the RRS HC-Pro clamp worked really well. I need to shoot a little with a buddy's Atlas before I buy one.

under features on the clamp adapter page. Says DOES NOT WORK WITH THE NEW CAL VERSION.

It sounds like some confusion here, the RRS Pro clamp uses a knob and the Clamp adapter is different it has a clamp. I know for a fact the RRS Pro Clamp works with the Cal as I have one, can't say for the clamp adapter.

I have the BTC pro clamp and it works perfectly with both the Atlas PSR and CAL bipods. No issues. They are. Great upgrade over the ADM.
if you never move your bipod from gun to gun, or don't do any dynamic match shooting, the ADM is fine.

That adapter plate (the shiny silver part) in those photos used to be too short for the cal, now they make it a little taller as you can see in the photos. The extra height allows for compatibility with the cal, but imo makes it obnoxiously tall for the v8, i had a machinist friend mill mine back down to original height for my v8.

ahh thanks. I have one on my PSR and was wondering why it was so tall! How much did you mill off?

Yes our stuff works for the cal now. Need to update the listing. The traditional atlas had a ballhousing that the main screw went into and had no figment issues. When they made the cal our adapter (btca) was too short and it would not work. We made it talk and now it works.
The BTC-PRO has not figment issues, the BTCA which is the clamp adapter of you want to use our lever releases is what people had confusion with. I’ll update after the holidays.

you'll see when you get in there, you can only go as low as just above the screws that mount the plate to the bipod. ends up being just above the RRS logo.20191223_071639.jpg

Was going to say, I just recently purchased a SOAR clamp and it works fine on my CAL, so I wasn’t sure why I wasn’t having any issues. Apparently I didn’t even bother to read the features list when I bought it, but it works great for anyone wondering.

I wish I would have known these existed about a month ago. Being able to use on pic rails and arca would have been ideal for me. I use my PSR on several rifles. I bought a clamp that works on arca rails . Looks like a great product.
