I'm trying to get a feel for what to expect from a FLIR RS64 (35mm). I own a FLIR LS 64. The specs on these two units look very similar. I'm assuming the "picture" from the RS64 would be very similar to that from my LS64. Anybody have first hand experience with these two units?

The rear ocular on the RS is larger and glass, not plastic like on the LS-64.

If you already have an LS-64, then an RS64-35 will be an excellent combo, that is pretty much all I ever need.

My personal favorite all around kill thermal scope out 300 yards is the RS64-35mm, nothing gets away....

Thanks SkyPup. Would you say the "picture" through the two is comparable? Basically I shouldn't expect any increase in ability to detect/identify with the RS over the LS?

I thoroughly enjoy my RS64. Recently upgraded from a PS32. What a difference!! Now I'm thinking about the RS dedicated on a rifle. Just don't know if I can give up the ability to identify/see details that my 3 gen clip on gives me... Only so much gear one guy can drag into the field at a time.

RS64 and LS64

The visual image is comparable but better with the RS due to the real glass larger diameter ocular lens, the LS & RS is a great combo, only use NV to get there and back, when I am on my stand just the LS/ RS handles everything.[emoji3] Range and ID is about the same.
