RTS/USO Extreme Makeover...II

Changed out the Vortex PST for a USO 5-25x58 T-PAL. Gary (at Competition Machine Inc. http://www.gotxring.com ) did the Cerakoting honors. The stock is by Gary also.
RTS Tube chassis kit
w/parallel, 45deg., 90deg. rear monopod
Versa Pod/Tubb mod. bipod
Bartlein bbl., med Palma, 1-8, 26", 6BR
Jewell trigger w/low safety
Mag Pul, MOE pistol grip
AICS mags-.223 & .308 (mofified to run 6BR cartridges)

How does it feed the 6br? Did you mod the 308 mags by putting a spacer in the rear of the mag?

Flawless and yes. They still feed the .308 pills as before, after removing the spacer. The .223 mags were a different puzzle. Those required some whittling on the feed lips.

I think it was under a grand when I bought it a few or 3 years back. It started out as an R5 (NOT a "5R") and I had Gary do some magic and it became an RTS. The cool thing is, if I want I can change out the lower and it will be an R5 again.

Looks like the barrel was milled down to accept a Palma sight. But I certainly could be wrong.

The business end is milled for a globe front sight. Haven't had it out to the range in this config but it shot lights out with the PST on it.
