No, but you may wanna rethink it. Apparently using those in a self defense situation is a bad idea because it can be shown you weren't truly in fear of your life because you weren't willing to use lethal ammo. Those rubber bullets can do tremendous damage and are lethal to the head and possibly heart if the KE is high enough.
Trust me, I dug around looking stuff up on non-lethals some time back. You'd think having the first round chambered with a rubber slug would make the fuckers whining about firearms and shit happy but somehow it always backfires on you.
I'm guessing a lot of people are buying it up thinking they're gonna stop rioters.
I don't think there's an instance where civilians can use non-lethals in an offensive role without being fucked with by another set of criminals.

If lethal is not needed on a human, then something that can take an eye is not in my kit... pepper spray works for that need...
If lethal is needed, OO is the starting point for a shotgun.....
Almost everything is sold out across the country... we sold a shit ton of guns this year... and a few hundred to thousand rounds with each new gun

ok, let's dream up a use...since i have a box of S&B rubber buck...
i am on one side of a fence and some antifatards are trying to climb over it to get to me or past me.
i am not in danger for real unless they get over the fence.
if i get close enough to the fence to knock them off from my side, i can be struck by brick, stones, pepper spray or other antifa weaponry.
i might use rubber buck to discourage them without killing anyone, and follow up with 00 buck if that doesn't work.

in pretty much every state, the use of a firearms is considered "deadly force"....regardless of what you are shooting out of it.
and you cant use deadly force because someone MIGHT pose a threat

Other problem is when one these rubber bullets hits them in the face and they lose their eye but live....you will never financially recover from that.

In 100% of states, if you take the intruder's life, you risk being charged with murder. Even if 100% is right, and you are charged, you will be saddled with AT LEAST $50K in legal bills to get the charge dropped (and that's BEFORE going to any form of trial). It'll cost you between $6,000 and $20,000 (depending on how snazzy of a lawyer you get and the laws in your state) to represent your rights to prevent you from getting charged in the first place unless you want to roll the dice.
In states that actually respect your right to self-defense (as much as they can these days), you may never get charged. But it's up to the Distict Attorney. A single person interprets the law and the police's account of the situation and holds your fate in their hands.
It's not up to the officer who bumped you on the shoulder and said you did the right thing. It's not up to the NRA. It's up to someone who could be anti-gun and anti-defense (or even someone who doesn't like you because of the color of your skin, your gender, or maybe your wife's sister is their ex and she cheated on him).
I encourage everyone to not joke around about defending yourself. You defend yourself with what will END the threat as humanely (meaning quickly) and safely (meaning bullets won't fly through walls into your children or your neighbor's house) as possible.
Be smart. Rubber rounds are for crowd control and getting yourself sued.

for me it would be a simple matter of identifying the reason you want to shoot anything.... if the motivation is that there is clear and present danger, and you are being threatened intentionally by a mob of people dead set on forcing you to submit to them, then your motivation is clear.... you want to prevent them from achieving their goal at the expense of you and yours... playing nice with them, when they aren't doing the same, is a waste of time.... in which case, your rubber bullets are a waste of money, and ineffectual... I have a 12 ga remington 870 desert recon... bought it several years ago for a pack string trip into the Absaroka Wilderness outside of Yellowstone... not my first choice in a situation, but my backup... for it, I have 12 ga 00... when it starts to rain, I want an umbrella, not cellophane...

Warning shots are not a thing here. By law, if you shoot, deadly force must be justified.

Most of the event had steel plates, but some stages had Soda Cans and Clays... I asked him if this was his cheat...
He explained that he liked snake shot for home protection...
His thought process was:

- I purchased a stainless gun so the reflection will intimidate them

meh, i am not personally suggesting anyone do anything, but i will note that the navy fires warning shots for some reasons.
To be fair, Navy also doesn't have to worry about the local DA deciding to destroy its life just so he can look good during re-election time.
