Rubber boots for night vision and thermal clip ons

Are rubber boots required for clips ons in front of standard day time optics? Are they available for 50mm to 54mm objective lenses ? where do I learn of options? thanks

Rubber boots are not required with night vision as there is no danger of electrocution. Any kind of reg boot , tennis shoes will be fine , or you can go for the hippie look and wear sandles but that also requires NOT taking a bath for a week. Hope this helps ! ;
