Recently purchased a ruger 10/22 and doing some nice nods. I would love to take it to the next level with a suppssor. I know they are egal to own in my state . I would love to hear from other tigers as to what they would recommend. I am looking for a nice reliable quiet can. Any and all recommendations are welcome.

Silerenco Sparrow is what I'm running on my 10/22. With subsonic ammo it's pretty quiet, not nearly as much as a bolt gun but a lot more fun!
I like the Sparrow b/c you can take it apart to clean easily since the 22's are so damn dirty.

Re: ruger 10/22 recommendation

In my humble, not very educated opinion -one cent worth- from what I know NOW after spending the money I would not buy any CAN dedicated for .22 long rifle ONLY!

I would go w/a Can that will quite easily handle .22 mag.

Instead of one Can for one rifle you'd have one Can for two: .22 Lr and .22 mag...

---------------------

I have a GemTech OutBack 2. It is not the take down model and I will not send it back for the conversion to a take down model for 2 reasons: 1) I think the cost is outrageous; for that cost I'd as soon sell my OB2 put some extra money aside and get a Can rated for .22mag, all Titanium. 2) Those having sent their OB2's back for the conversion are reporting they have to take it apart and clean it every few hundred rounds or they may not be able to get it apart or for find it horrendously difficult to do so...

Me I'd rather spend more time shooting than cleaning...!

Re: ruger 10/22 recommendation

Hmmm, I haven't felt the need for separate cans (the sparrow is relatively easy to clean).

My 10/22 is set up with a tac-sol barrel in a hogue stock.

One cool little addition I did was adding NODAK Spud sights to it. So I have aperture sights on it (which is tricky with the tacsol barrel otherwise) and rail space as well. Really nice little package. I've thought about getting a sidefolder for it.

If you can get an SBR in your state, you can make a sweet, sweet little rifle.

Hold the charging handle forward to really reduce the sound signature!

Definitely recommend a bolt buffer shooting suppressed.

Re: ruger 10/22 recommendation

Sparrow is easy to take apart even after 1000 rounds. It can handle .22lr .22 magnum, 17 HMR, .22 hornet, fn 5.7 and I'm probably forgetting something.
