Zeroed and Node found! Still factory barrel and plastic stock but man this thing shoots alright.

Wondering if this guy will push the 1 Mile mark.
Anyone in Northern California have good long range spots?

These rifles flat out shoot for factory guns!
My father in law picked up the exact same gun about 6 months ago. He wanted me to zero it for him. With factory Hornady 140 eldms it prints 1/2" groups at 100 consistently (as consistent as factory ammo can be). That is with the stock that is touching the side of the barrel, awful trigger etc. My experience with these guns is they flat out shoot and are a heck of a bargain. I'm jealous as it shoots just as good as my full custom 6.5 cm bighorn/proof/triggertech rifle does.
I bought him a drop in Timney trigger and it turned the rifle into a whole new gun.

I'm for sure sticking with the Ruger action just to be different cause I'm dumb like that. When I can afford, 26" barrel, trigger, chassis are my first upgrades.

If you keep all the pressure straight the stock doesn't touch the barrel...

I built a budget gun using this same gun in 6.5 and a athlon Argos 6-24 scope . Just this weekend I had confirmed 1 mile hits ! The gun is very capable , I personally run the 147eldm factory ammo and 142 smk reloads . I had 93.25 moa for the one mile hit. Good luck

Mine shoots great as well, right around 0.75 MOA consistently with Hornady American Gunner 140 gr BTHP. I bought it for deer and to use as a lightweight long range gun, works great. The barrel heats up pretty quickly and starts throwing shots, but that is to be expected for the barrel profile and price point. I've taken it out to 1,000 yd easily, but that doesn't take much with a 6.5 Creedmoor. The deer last year may as well have been hit by a meteor, DRT with a well-placed Federal Fusion at ~180 yd. Great gun for the $. I haven't had good luck with the AICS Pmags though, and I even have the ones with the correct color of follower. Can't have it all for the $380 I paid for it.
