A friend just bought one of these with an 18 inch barrel, otherwise stock configuration, with a Vortex 3.5-15X scope. Curious whether the forum has advice about commercial ammunition and bullet weight that shoots well in these rigs. And any guesses about the accuracy to expect given good shot execution?

I have one, it is, for me, a hunting rifle and a damn good one. Most of my shots are at 200 yards and in though. Swarovski Z5 3,5-18 atop. I started it out with FGMM 168s and shooting off a bench, was able to get it to 5/8" groups. For hunting, switched to Federal Premium 165s. Shot pretty much the same and two outings, two dead right there bucks.
Its a little clunky feeling compared to my two custom guns, bolt is a little sloppy, it is heavy and the finish of the action and stock are what I would call military. However, no feeding issues and it shoots more than good enough.

Thank you both, helpful. Friend has a 3.5-10X Leupold mounted on it, hasn't fired one shot yet, but good to have a starting point for the ammo.
