Not too bad for a horrorbilly thang, but I like Captain Clegg a little more, what with being a swingin dick daddy from Tennessee(well, Cali, but my kins is from here)
The nickname comes not from the knife I carried, but the scar that came from it. A cholo in a back So-Cal alley thought to make me give up my weekly allowance. He thought his little knife was a large sword and he Conan the Barbarian. I blocked with an arm block, turned and hyperextended his elbow, then knocked him the fuck out. I took a nice 2" scar from the blade of that switchknife, along with two weeks of sticky steritapes on my right arm where it landed. The nickname came years later when a friendly neighborhood Hells Angel shook my hand and saw the scar and asked about it. He looked me in the eye and said,"Nice scar, Switchblade". We both kinda hung out after work in the same AO, and he was also at my neighbor's house quite a bit along with a bunch of other patches from the club. All my friends started calling me that as soon as they heard it so it kind of stuck. I guess the leather jacket and bike just kinda lend to it as well these days so I never really tried to get rid of it.
BUT, If it happens to be weapons or gear related, it is posted here way before rthe rest of the world gets wind of it, and most of the time before YouTube sees it hit even close to normal status. Remember, USO scopes and Nightforce scopes weren't even in magazines several years ago, but they were all over this place. Same for full auto shotties and other cool weapons. You see it here first, then maybe a few months or a year later, it hits 'popular' on youtube
