Rifle Scopes S&B Elevation knob loses clicks?

I have a S&B PMII 3-12x50 L/P Gen II Mildot, MRAD, MTC, CCW. Today right before where the double-turn counter-clockwise elevation knob starts to pop up for the second level of elevation it lost it's clicks. It slid as if the allen set screws were not tight. Then it stared clicking again as I went forward and reverse, then it slid again. Usually right around 10-11. The scope was not accurate at that setting either. When I took it back down to zero it was fine and dead on.

I called Alex at Euro Optic to see what he thought. He referred me to USO because they hold the patent on the MTC. But they are not familiar enough with S&B. I can't call S&B until Monday.

Anybody experience this?

To take an educated guess( I have repaired many of these when we worked with S&B) I would say that the locking nut under the dial has come slightly loose.
There are 2 "nuts" on the turret when you remove the dial they are opposite threads. One is a barrel nut and the other comes down on top of that and locks the barrel into place. They are held together with loctite and torque. If the correct amount of loctite isn't used or the torque is insufficient this problem can occur.
The fix is easy- however you need special tools or a strong spanner wrench and some heat to do this.

I would go with Rob01 and send to S&B but if you want to try it yourself I will be happy to provide you with instructions.
