Rifle Scopes S&B Shots

So some people know I've been all about S&B even though it is not the most popular here but I thought I would say S&B has always been very good to me. The glass is great, they can take an absolute beating, they go great with AIs, I love the P4 Fine reticle, they are practical and easy to use, perhaps because of my familarity but the sight pic is perfect and I can acquire it immediately. Of course they are heavy and longer than a lot but all considered I love them. I am not saying they are the king or should be chosen over anything else just saying respectfully they have never let me down.

I don't think S&B has a lack of popularity here. They don't seem to have any detractors unlike virtually every other brand.

S&B's are top notch... Popularity here has shifted more times than I can remember in my short time here.

Run what you want, love it, scream it from the roof tops. I sincerely doubt you'll have anyone thumb their nose at your gear, and if they do, fuck em.

I have a Savage 10fp that is one of my best rifles. Damn rifle shoots better than most customs. It had a USO on it forever and people would look at me like I was crazy. Truth of the matter is, the rifle just plain puts out, and does so well, so I can care less if it's not the "popular" rifle.

not the best pic in the world but my old 5-25 on my tube gun. cant wait until the 3-20 comes out with the klein reticle they will be the cats ass if they really did get rid of the low power tunneling. I have a 4-16x42 s&b coming tomorrow i will update with pics.

Also I meant to say in the OP that at the time I was making a decision on scopes the S&Bs were the best I had experienced and I prefered them to everything I had seen including USO I had not ever gotten the opportunity to play with a Hensoldt and I have only seen two so far one two months ago and then a few weeks ago Mike was kind enough to let me play with his. At this point I am conniving to get my hands on a 3-12 of my own and will shortly but I was just saying I still like the S&Bs

I just traded a Hensoldt for another S&B - yup...


I'm happy. They are happy.

The Hensoldt does have the most forgiving headroom so to speak of any optic I have ever seen. At a certain point it is all personal preference. Hensoldt, NSX, USO, S&B - all really good.


Also just sent a 3-12x50 back to VA for a frozen E turret, they aren't fail proof - but they're pretty good.

I don't know about the BEST, but their rifles are a HELLUVA lot more impressive then their dentistry.

I'm one of the many waitting for the new S&B's to hit the US. Many moons ago the US set a high standard it thing we made. Now thats not the case! To say you wont own a S&B due to it being made else were. That's your deal. But if you want to buy once and be happy, it's not going to have made in the USA on it most of the time.
