Guys

A long while back did SO TECH make a backpack system with a scabbard? Something like the Eberlestock systems? I thought it was these guys who also made one, but looking at the website cant find it. I could be thinking totally of another brand here.. so might not even be SO TECH!

Cheers

Re: S.O. TECH Q?

This will be finalized in August, and will be impressive. We pride ourselves on being innovative and thinking "Outside the box", so you will be pleasantly surprised when you see it.
However, it will first be tested out and evaluated by a Tier 1 group. It is being built with their DIRECT input to meet the needs of current operational theaters.
Thanks for the interest, and stay tuned.

Re: S.O. TECH Q?

Without having seen the pictures, does this systems scabbard stop at the arse/waist line, allowing the ability to sit down with the pack still on (one of the few erberlstock Achilles heel's)?

Would be keen to know..

Cheers mate

Re: S.O. TECH Q?

Jester,
Are you refering to sitting on the ground? Or on a rock or bench?
The concept is to keep the weight balanced and not have a massive target signature looming over your head, and also to be able to go prone and look forward. If you are moving and a blast hits you from behind, I would rather the shooter not get a buttstock up the back of his skull. It does have comfortable shoulder straps, so if you need a break, you can take it off easily! Hope this helps.

Re: S.O. TECH Q?

No was talking about sitting on the ground where pack removal is tacticaly unsound...COG and an even weight distribution shouldnt be a problem if the weapons reversed, IE barrel up and stock against the back. sorry if this is off track, but as said before I didnt see the pics of the pack before.

cheers,

JJ

Re: S.O. TECH Q?

I am not sure this will be ready by then. In two weeks I go out to work on it, have the Tier 1 group review it and then it will go out to production.
Check back, but you may need to borrow something for the trip. Either way, good luck and be safe!
