Bedding turned out perty nice.

Final bedding profile. It's dusty still so the pic didn't come out so good. Wiped down is squeaky clean.

Floormetal fitting:

Onto fitting guard screws, sling studs, pad, and final finishing. Should have this one wrapped up today.

How do you do the sling stud "anchoring" in the EDGE stocks?

A brass ferrule up front and an alloy pin in the back. I gutted out a hole in the back half of the stock prior to installing the pad. Placed the pin and anchored it in place with epoxy/filler to make the hole solid again. My filler is much harder than the light fill McMillan uses so its pretty solid. Attach the pad, grind/sand to fit, and were off to the "races". Grinding the pad is the real "art" in this whole thing. It's taken me a long time to get good at it. Block sanding afterward with emery and a "home brew" concoction gets rid of the feathering that belt sanders always leave. It reminds me of when I used to road race bikes and how the tires would "worm up" once they got to temperature.

It's getting late here (9pm) so I skipped the photos of final sanding/priming the stock/scuffing, etc. Here's the base color applied along with the texture. Just letting it flash for a few minutes till I squirt the black on it. Then its a slow cure in the oven overnight. I set it at 100*F and let it roast till morning. Then she's ready to assembly.

Black spatter applied and masking peeled. She's cookin in the oven now.

Final assembly in the morning Shawn! Should ship tomorrow too! Kalli has to run into town so she'll pick up the case for it then.

Nice to hear. Were putting it together right now. I ended up staying later than I'd planned last night and wrapped up all the metal finishing.

Just assembly/shootin left to do.

Off to the tunnel soon as I get some brass gassed up!

Were all done mister. Boxing it up now. Here's the final piece along with a test tgt. 8lbs on the nose as she sits. Should make for a nice killin machine I think.

Garret shot the group in the tunnel. This was a "picked from thin air" load. I think with a little tweaking it'll improve some more. Two "truck-n-trailer'd" each other with the 3rd being a bit of an orphan. Still, it's under a 1/2 minute. Cor Bon's tunnel can be tough sometimes. Being underground the exhaust fans pull all the air from upstairs. Warm air hitting the cooler air inside the pipe makes for some interesting mirage at times.

Any chance you can list the component particulars for this good looking build? I can see it's a Stiller Predator action, but what about the bottom metal, trigger, stock, barrel contour and length, and scope bases that are used? Nice looking gun, and nice work on it. Is that stock finish olive with black splatter?
