I think that $699 price is after the rebate, actually--I think the flier says in little print something like "net to consumer." But I could be wrong. It's still a very good price.

No, on the front page of newest flyer is 599.99 after rebate. It makes the sum of the parts worth fair amount more than the complete rifle.
