SAC+KMW 243/308 Switchbarrel

Bought a Terry Cross (KMW) 308 Sentinel build a month or so ago. I wanted to use it as a match rifle so I asked Mark at Short Action Customs to cut me a 243 barrel for it. Everything about it is super slick, and I'm sure it will be a one hole gun. Ill find out tomorrow when I do the load development, so stay tuned... Now for the good stuff!

-KMW Sentinel with IMB molded in OD Green
-Kreiger MTU Barrel cut @ 26" with SF Brake
-Jewell Trigger @ 1lbs.
-Schmidt and Bender PMII 5-25 MSR
-Badger Rings
-Surefire 7.62SS with TAB Cover
-Atlas V8 Bipod

Correct. Terry originally built the rifle with a 24" 308 MTU barrel, which I have as well. Mark drilled out the 243 Kreiger for it recently.

Very smart build. KMW stocks make a lot of sense

And there not much more then a typical stock that you'd have to add in all the extras to make them complete anyhow. bottom metal alone almost evens the playing field.

Correct, when we received the rifle it was barreled up as a 308 in a complete build with Terry's IMB system which looks really nice. We installed the customers supplied Krieger barrel and sent everything back to the customer. He wanted to keep the KMW 308 barrel for a switch barrel. Terry's work looked really nice!

Very nice. I have a KMW Sentinel rifle built by Terry that I'm looking to do a 6.5x47 switch barrel for. These rifles are solid builds. You will be pleased.

I can do nothing but agree with you on that comment, Maybe I should drop the whole tactical match deal and go straight to 100 yard benchrest

PS: I WOULD REMEMBER TO CHECK YOUR SLING ON EVERY STAGE AT THE GRIND, I'D HATE FOR YOU TO SCRATCH THAT NEW SCOPE!

Mark is working on my .308 build now. Seeing results like that makes the waiting a little harder.
Can't wait to start burning powder.
