Shooters,

I just finished up a rifle for a local customer. He shoots at Thunder Valley Precision and other competitions often, so we spec'ed out this 260 for his main rifle.

Here are the specs!!!

-Short Action Customs's Alpha 11 Medium action, AW mag cut, 20 MOA double pinned rail, double pinned recoil lug, match firing control assembly, M16 extractor, blind side bolt release, blind rear tang.

-Bartlein M40, 1-8" 26" finish, 5R rifling, APA little bastard fitted with custom thread protector also supplied.

-Manners MCS-T4A stock, Mini Chassis, 3-color gap after bedding.

-We chambered the barrel for 260 Rem with our standard reamer with a standard neck, Lapua brass will go in, but its very tight and should be turned, customer is using Nosler brass. Curvature of bore timed to 12 0'clock position of action as always.

-We did a full Devcon bedding job on the stock. I know it has a chassis, but the bedding really increases the interface between the stock and actions as well as allows us to clean up much of the lines and angles of the T4A.

-All metal was finished in Patriot Brown with Black accents.

-The scope used on this rifle was an IOR 6-24-56 FFP. Myself and other shooters have compared this glass with other scopes, and its better than Nightforce and on par with S&B, Premier, and Hensoldt!! We did some side by sides.

The reticle is a MOA version with a .125 MOA center dot, 2 MOA horizontal intervals, 1 MOA vertical intervals and has 30 MOA of vertical reticule under the center dot. I love this scope and its great for the price.

Rings are from American Rifle Company.

Thanks for checking it out!

Mark

Re: SAC: New Build! A11, 260 Rem, T4A,

I'm looking into a similar build in 6.5 x47 Laupa. What is the weight of the rifle? I'm trying to figure out if I want to go with the M24 contour or a medium palma or light palma contour.

Re: SAC: New Build! A11, 260 Rem, T4A,

Great looking rifle Mark!!! Mark, I'm rethinking my scope choices. You know what I use, but when you can get the same or better as you mentioned above for less, why not. I'm about what's better, not just what name is on it. I value and trust your professional opinion, and will give them a try. What is the price comparison between the NF 5.5-22 with zerostop, and their comparable scope. Thanks again for sharing your work.

Re: SAC: New Build! A11, 260 Rem, T4A,

After starring at my new rifle for months, I finally got it out to the range, I haven't done any load work yet, as we are moving and I don't have access to my reloading stuff, I used south west 260 and was very pleased with the groups I was getting w their loads. Took it out to 1165 yards and it amazing. Very little recoil compared to my 308.
