Sako TRG 22 help

hello,

My recoil pad fasting nut is striped on my Sako Trg 22. I don't know how it happened I only had the rifle for a few months and last night while adjusting the stock length was the first time I have ever touched the butt plate screws. When I tried to put it back together I discovered that the fasting nut was striped. I only found one place that carries them and they are back ordered. Anyone have any idea where I could get a hold of one?

You can also just take the screw down to Ace Hardware and get a replacement as the Sako's use standard metric screws. I have replaced two of them on mine that way, one for the forend and the other actually to fasten the barreled action into the bottom medal. You may have to cut it down to length but they will definitely have them there, and it will be less then a $1.

Good deal. I figure if you can get a factory part free, which i'm guessing you are, versus paying even 1 buck for a hardware
Store part, it's worth it. And Berreta USA seem to be good people.

Yea it was $16 and on backorder until mid-July. My Sako is under warranty so no charge. Beretta was great to deal with. Thanks again.
