( kidding boys, play nice now ) As I said from the start, the rifle was accurate enough to start with and then accuracy dropped. So I don't think there was barrel contact from the start, the screws were not wrong or too long to start with. I would gladly have stripped and tried to sort out the problem myself, but that is what the Sako warranty is for. If I wanted to bash a brand of rifle, I sure as hell would not go and buy another one from their stable, its a rifle issue, not a manufacturer issue. I have only had good service from the Sako guys down here. Taking some metal/alu away is not the solution I believe, it is just going to mask some underlying issue with the chassis/barrel/action. Sure they will figure it out somehow, but there is also the possibility that they say there is nothing wrong with any of the components listed.
