So first thing first. I am non-mechanical. This is crude but very effective. And it was 25 minutes of time and free. knowing what I know now, it will take about 5 minutes to make them.
So there was a small project at work today, and the guy was going to throw out these leftover pieces of 4-inch wide baseboard that was plastic.
I had @Boltman82 make a pretty kick-ass part for my tikka, it was a butt spacer. He inspired me to try and make something. I decided I could use this material and make a spacer for my trg42. I am not cheap, but also I am not stupid. I do not believe in spending 58 dollars on a piece of plastic, that breaks very easy.
The material I used will not break.
So with some trial and error, I created the spacer you see above. Just swipe the picture right. and you will be able to see what I did.
It is rock solid and very comfortable on the face.
Next, I am going to try and make a buttstock spacer. Next week.
