I took out a SAKO TRG-21 .308 out to shoot today. I went for my third shot. I thought I had chambered a round, but had not. I was using the safety between shots. I clicked the safety off and went for the shot. I got the normal dry fire click, but when I went to open the chamber, the bolt and trigger was in lock/safe mode. Also, the safety would only move a fraction of the movement normal. I do not see a way to break the lock down open to open the bolt... Any ideas?

Thanks for the info Alaskaman. I worked with it for a while in the yard yesterday. Once I gave up, I took everything back in and the rifle stood in the corner (facing the corner.. Ha!). I went back a few hours later, the safety moved like it should, and the bolt opened freely.. Go figure..

Something defiantly strange is going on there for it to operate fine and then jam up on you like that....would not trust that it won’t happen again. Now that its freed up would have a gunsmith look at it just for safety sake.

Just my 2 cents.
