Has anyone put a Savage 110 Tactical in a different stock or chassis like a manners or something like that? With it being the 110 Tactical what exactly am I looking for in a replacement stock? Spacing, AICS mag, bottom bolt release? Appreciate any help.

Tagged for info. I had a bunch of Cabela’s points from work and picked up one in 6.5. I called Manners last week and they said as long as it was a SA they could put it in just about any stock I wanted. I shoot LH so my options are more limited. I just don’t know that I want to spend 1k + on a savage stock. Curious to hear what everyone has to say.

My heart throb rifle is a Savage 10 FCP-SR Tactical...it now lives in an MDT LSS-XLGen2 chassis.

Depends on what you want. I'm an MDT Whore and a Savage Whore so take my opinions with a grain of salt. MDT has the best stuff for Savage and they have "drop in" chassis for the Savage 110. Literally a 10 minute upgrade.

that looks good. I found one for 800ish. It’s the Manners EH1A Elite Hunter W/ M5 DBM Inlet. I just couldn’t find, for sure if my rifle would fit this stock.

I've been searching as well but in my case for Long Action. MDT has the most and best options including the Oryx. I've seen a few AI chassis that were inletted but that may have been custom. Cadex has a couple of options and XLR and KRG as well for the short action only.

Pre Accutrigger 112 "package rifle" in 30.06 changed to 300WM.

The XLR with 300WM magazine had some issues feeding as the reciever had some interference front and back. The reciever was originally set up with a staggered feed internal box for 30.06. The factory cuts for the stamped steel internal box caused the 300WM rounds to hang up and the extra material at the rear of the reciever would not allow the rear of the cartridge to come up if it wash pushed to the rear of the magazine. I am in the process of filing some of the rear reciever opening and cleaning up the feed ramp. The factory cuts for the internal box may as well have been done with a hacksaw from the factory. It's going to take a bit to make it look decent. All a Savage issue not XLR.

The 110's are all the same spacing afaik.

No. 7 28" Shilen match select barrel, shouldered, no barrel nut.
Witt clamp on brake.
Timney trigger.
Bolt lift kit.
XLR Element chassis.
XLR mercury recoil reducer, this helped balance out the rifle due to the heavy barrel.

I haven't had it out since I put it in the chassis, still looking and putting off buying glass.

My 10fp .308 in an Envy Pro chassis shoots great.

You need to measure your bolt spacing.
4.4” is a short action.
Here is buttercup, my old 260.
4.4 short action bottom bolt release.

I’ve had the MPA for about two years now and no complaints! EDIT: Any of you other 110 6.5CM have issues with Hornady brass ejecting? Been doing some research and it looks like they make their extractor grooves About .05 smaller than sammi spec causing the spent rounds to drop in the chamber. (Yes I upgraded the ball bearing, ejector and extractor).
