Hey guys, I have a savage 880 ss. I am was just testing out my mueller eradicator on it and Sighted it in at 35-40 yards. This rifle will do a dime size all day long at 50 yards. Here is the odd thing. I am not sure if its because I have a 50mm scope on it or what, but going from dead on at 25 yards I made a could turn and shoot at 50 yards and it was about 4 inches High. Any ideas on whether this is the gun or the scope or something else? Thanks

Re: Savage 880 ss

K I will try more ranges. I tried another group at 25 yards and again it was right on. Kind of annoying. Guess that is the best way to be learning to account for bullet rise, drop etc. Practice practice practice.

Has anyone tried tuning the trigger on a marlin 880? Thanks

Thank you much, that was exactly what I was looking for. </div></div>

Also, if you don't want to cut the trigger spring (as stated in the first post of that link) you can replace the trigger spring with something lighter. Mine has the spring from a ball point pen in it... it works well (I haven't shimmed the sear spring yet).
