i have a savage axis that came with the accutrigger but wondering if there is anyone that makes a trigger that will go lighter. also, does anyone else make a chassis for the axis besides MDT?

here is by build so far.

it started life as a factory savage axis 2 hunting rifle in 6.5 creedmoor. it is now 6mm creedmoor.......only thing left from the factory rifle is the action and trigger.

Find a target trigger spring, they’re easy to find and make ba noticeable difference.

I’m not sure if the axis footprint is the same as a regular 10/100 footprint.

My savage model 11 was in a XLR chassis and that combination worked quite well.

A true “target accutrigger” will, but not the accutrigger-type trigger in the Axis. There is a big difference.
NSS used to sell true target accutriggers from takeoffs but they are hard to find almost poeople that like the target Savageslike them.

I started w/Savage a long time ago, but haven’t paid attention for years until I swapped into an AXIS Hardwood 65CM for a budget hunter.
