Savage cdi BM?

I have a savage 12 with 4.4" spacing with a hs precision stock with inlet for the savage DBM BM. I have purchased cdi BM but its not here yet, i have read you have to get your stock inleted for the cdi and i also have read that the factory bottom metal inlet is very close and may just need a small mod to make it fit correctly .

So will it need to be redone to accept the new BM?

I searched but i keep seeing yes and no. Thanks

Some slight adjusting with a file or Dremel is all you will need to do.
