Does anybody know where there are any in stock? I wasnt in any hurry to get one since I figured all the panic buying wouldnt be on 22 bolt action rifles but it seems I was wrong. Ive spent the better part of an hour looking for one with no luck. My sparrow should be approved shortly so it'd be real nice to have a rifle host instead of just my ruger lite.

Just ordered it. That was really weird, I checked around lunch time and they were out of stock. I almost didn't go look after your suggestion since I looked a few hours ago but Im glad I did, thanks.

Hoping some subs and the sparrow with this thing will take care of my varmint problems quietly.

I plan on rocksetting a spacer on it. A tacticool stock, rifle basix trigger and a vortex 1.5-5 should make for a sweet subsonic gun.

I was going to order a rifle basix for mine, but to tell the truth the accu-trigger is pretty damn nice.

Is that the mueller 8-32 apv? I was looking at that one for my 17hmr for some 300yd work but the lack of mildots kinda turned me away. Im trying to work my way into being abke to hit a prairie dog on the first shot from 300yds but I run out of elevation on my xurrent BSA scope and without mildots its pretty hard to guess with the crosshairs.

The rifle basix trigger will be the last mod, I've heard the accutrigger is good but I've recently become addicted to great triggers. I put a volquartsen trigger/sear and bam bushing in my 22/45 lite and its awesome so I figured I'd want tje rifle basix kit. Hopefully the accu is satisfactory so I can spend money elsewhere. I'd really like to get an osprey 45 can this year too.

FYI...

1) You'll want the 10rd mags really quick since it only comes with one 5rd.

2) EGW makes the factory base and a 20 MOA version - Get the 20 MOA version...XD

3) There are a couple of crosspins in the receiver that can cause accuracy problems, feel free to grind them down flush before you glass bed.

4) You might run into problems with the last round not feeding. Double check with a different mag before you tear the rifle apart. I tweaked the mag catch/spring so that it holds the mag tighter in the well and I haven't had a problem since.

I'm getting 4" groups at 200 yards with mine and I haven't bedded it yet.

Look into the DIP scope base rather than the EGW base. Top Predator did a write-up on both.

Here is a pic of mine I went with the BSA 4-14 FFP when it was on sale. So far so good seems to track well. Dip bottom metal and the Boyd's stock

Im having my threads cut down and recrowned. The shim method is another option. I cant belive SilencerCo has not made an adapter or solution to the savage mark II Fv Sr

I thought about cutting down an A2 flash hider to run as a spacer basically al that will be left would be a the part for the wrench.

This is a buddy's rifle...the scope is a Meuller but not sure on the size. Fine crosshair reticle with side parallax. Cant recommend these scopes...every person I see running one has problems. This one doesn't track for crap and is gonna get replaced.

Would like to see a 3-10 Weaver or a Vortex PST type scope on this.

Since we're on the subject of scopes what would you recommend foe my 17hmr? Ive currently got the BSA 17 which is a 12 power is it's a bit lacking in magnification in my opinion. I'd really like something north of 20x and that has a BDC reticle. I'm a big fan of vortex but the viprr pst 6-24 is a little more than what I'd like to spend for this rifle.

bdc reticles are a joke the only one that works for the 17 is the bsa and ya it is lacking on magnification. but its the only one that can get close

But its worthless when you max out the elevation and youre still hitting 2-3 foot low. With some practice I can figure out my own dope but without mildots on the reticle its just a guessing game on how much to elevate and not repeatable atleast for me but I'm just starting to get into "precision" shooting. Ive always used regular ole deer rifke type scopes and elevated and adjusted for wind by moving the crosshairs not using the turrets since they dont have any.

How does the BSA FFP fit the gun? I have been keeping myself from buying both, for no reason really, but just wanted to know how they go together.

Quick dumb question. I'm out and about right now, otherwise I'd just figure it out via the local gun shop.

I'm looking at getting a FV-SR and dropping it into a Manners T4 stock. Also planning on a DIP 25MOA base and a Weaver 3-15x50mm scope. What height of scope rings would be the best for this setup?

Update for mounting a silencerco 22sparrow to a savage mark II FV SR 22lr rifle:
I called silencerco and they do NOT sell a thread spacer for the mark ii fvsr they did however suggest that I use a nylon washer or a flat washer that will not crush.
I wish someone would make and sell a precision spacer, for good repeatability. I would buy it.
Anyhow mark ii owners having trouble mounting a sparrow have these options:
Chop and completly rethread
Cut / trim the thread length & recrown
Use of above listed washer

I have the spacer listed above, works fine. Here's my FS VR with SS Sparrow, Nikon Prostaff 3x9x40, stock painted in rustoleum tactical nutmeg. The Nikon is ok but I plan on replacing it later and also the stock with a Boyds. I'm far from a good shot but can do nickel size groups at 50yds with subs. Thats good for me, this is my first rifle with a scope and first ever to go past 25yds. Needless to say I'm hooked!

There was a great write up on the 16.5" barrel of the FV-SR vs the 22" barrel of the TRR and the effect on velocity, both with and without a suppressor. There was no significant velocity difference.

I really like my FVSR, I put the boyds stock on and the .5x28 x .5x28 silencer co. adapter on and had excellent performance from the set up. I just do not like how the gun looks with the gap from adapter to can. I will try to post some pics tomorrow.

In my experince the silencerco spacer worked great on my m&p15 but the spacer took up 3/4 of the threads on the FV-SR. I dont feel to safe about threading so short. (If its the same spacer from silencerco?)
