Well I picked up my Savage Friday. Had my local gun store to mount and bore sight in the scope. Took it to the range yesterday and my first 3 shot group was 4 inches low @100yds. Windage was dead on. So I came up 1mil and 1 click and was hitting dead center and my groups could be covered with a dime. And that was shooting cheap PMC 168gr Sierra Match King bullets. I shot some really cheap Private Partizan 168gr match ammo and still got a 1" 3 shot group@100yds.

Love how the rifle shoots and love the scope. Did have a problem with the magazine. With it clicked all the way in, I still have to push up on it a tad to get the bolt to strip a round from the mag. Gonna call Savage today and see about getting a replacement mag. Other than that, I love the rifle.

Its hard to beat the out of the box accuracy of a Savage for the money. On your magazine feeding issue, you may have to spread the lips open some to get the top round to ride a little higher.

I loved mine. it would shot .3" groups repeatedly but was more of a solid 1/2 moa gun. it loved the 178's and 43grs of IMR 4064.

I would have about a 3" vertical spread at 1000 yards, windage...........um........not so much. my wind calling ability is not the greatest but even at that it would print 1 moa groups at 1000 and that's only because of me.

I took that action and rebarreled it to a 260 Remington.

for the feeding issues, try the above first before sending it off to Savage. I will say their customer service was phenomenal. the first rifle I got had a damaged crown and they shipped me a brand new rifle a week later.

I've got the left hand version and one of my friends has the right hand those mags suck so bad. When I'm hunting I only load 3 rounds cause I don't trust the mag to work when needed. Other than that I love mine glad to see some more fcp on the board
