In july I purchased a savage 10fcp rifle, as an employee of Bass Pro Shops I am able to get a special deal from savage.
I recieved the rifle and went to the range to sight in, after shooting it became apparent the rifle was shooting 6in to the left at 100yrs. I thought maybe it was my scope or rings I changed out equipment a few times
Equipment used
2 x burris xtr 6-24 tac
1 x bushnell 3200 4-16 tac
warne/badger/tally mounts
warne/burris/weaver rings no matter what i did the rifle shot 6in to the right with no left scope adjustment left. I sent the rifle back to savage, they replaced the barrel and sent it back to me
I get the rifle back and go to the range and guess what happens, it shoots 6in to the right again with no left scope adjustment left. I have let 2 other people shoot the gun with there scopes and it shoots 6in to the right for them also. So I call savage back and they were not realy helpful they said when it left them it shot to there specs. After a few calls and talking to a manager they agree to look at it again, I send it back the 2nd time. They say the shot it and it shot to their specs with there scope on the gun. They say it has to be my equipment so then sent the gun back to me with their mount on it to try.
I get the gun back and go shoot and it still shoots 6in to the right. Savage sent me 2 targes showing somehow they get the gun to shoot just fine. I have no idea what is going on.
So now i get my manager at bass pro shop to give them a call, and savage says the gun is just fine and it is my fault that the gun is not shooting right. I get bass pro to put a scope on the gun and bore sight it and it shows gun shoots to the right just like i have said.
At this pt 3 people have shot this gun with 5 different scopes, bass pro has bored sighted it and after all that it still shoots 6in to the right at 100yrds.
This has cost savage a number of sales cause I will not sell another savage gun till i am satified with my gun.
Well my manager gets savage to take it back for the third time and we send it back again. They get the gun and shoot it and again they say it shoots to there specs and the scope i sent with the gun is the problem. Well that scope is one that the 2 other people and myself have shot and also that scope came off a gun that has over 900 rnds at 600yds though it, it isnt the scope, at this pt they are sending it back to me.
I dont know what to do I have over 2500.00 in this gun with scope and i am not a wealthy man, this is a lot of money to me and will be a hardship if i cant get the gun to shoot
Does anyone have any other ideas what to do i am at a loss
