What's wrong with this picture? Hint: look at the turret where the logo is located.

You can believe whatever you want. A logo on the windage turret is indication enough that it's a fake. But, hey, don't believe me! Send the seller an email and tell him you have $900 cash and I'll bet he jumps on it.

I own, and have owned, several NightForce scopes and there is only ONE logo to be found and it's on the parallax turret as ch'e stated above.

Re: SCAM ALERT — Don't Become A Victim

I believe all the new boxes are square. I just bought an F1 from Mike at CSTactical and it came in a square box.

Re: SCAM ALERT — Don't Become A Victim

Ahh, looks like I need to buy some new scopes to get the new, fancy square boxes! Ive always hated the triangular boxes because they are a bitch to store...as if that matters!

Yes indeed, at Bruno's Shooter Supply in Pheonix, AZ. I believe but could be wrong that the newer boxes are square not triangular anymore. Personally I would bet the scope in the pic is real, the better question may be can you trust the seller. As someone else mentioned one of the same pictures was used on another forum a year before.

Are some of you so sure that Nightforce has never labeled the right turret with the NF symbol? I would give Nightforce a call before you just make assumptions. Sure if your in doubt don't buy it without checking but for that price if your looking for the same scope I'd definitely give NF a call and at least see what they say. Then check into the seller and see if they are legit.

Therein lies the problem. The NXS in the image isn't an F1.

I'll be on the phone with NF in the morning.

Re: SCAM ALERT — Don't Become A Victim

A little off the wall here, but because of all the TV programs highlighting snipers and their equipment, I'd be willing to bet that NF has started putting the logo on both knobs.

When the camera is to the shooters right, there's no way for the layman to identify the manufacturer of the scope being used.

Putting the logo on each side assures the company of some good advertising.

Re: SCAM ALERT — Don't Become A Victim

This is not a fake.

As far as the NF logo engraved on both knobs. According to a NF representative this was a "in line change" that happend @ NightForce a few months ago for all NXS models.

BTW Killshot I take apologies made out to MR.Boone. I would also like to tell you your not to only one to own NF optics. In fact I'm a little bit of a optic whore. Have a wonderful day.

Ha ha ha ha! Touché, MR. Boone. My sincere apology as it certainly appears to be as fake as a $3 bill.

Thanks for the clarification!

Re: SCAM ALERT — Don't Become A Victim

You learn something everyday...so I was at my local gunshop today picking up a new Glock 34 and I had nothing to do while I waited the 10 or so minutes on the background check. I strolled over to the scope counter and wouldnt ya know it, half the new NXS's had NF engraved on the windage turrets. I also saw a few square boxes behind the glass case...
