    @Tucker301

This guy is a scammer. He would only accept a wire transfer and wouldn't give his address to another member. I am 30mi from his listed location and he won't respond to IMs requesting a face to face transfer.
If you search his username "Chesternutt for sale forums" he is on other sites trying to sell other high end firearms not listed on SH. He has different locations listed on different sites.
I will post links hopefully members here that are signed up on other sites can pass the alert on

Maybe I'm wrong but I doubt it. I really wanted that 50 lol

He doesn't have 100 posts nor has he likely paid to sell. A single shot .50 steyr is $3-4k the one with a mag retail for like $7k though almost a year ago there was euro, buds or some retailer that was selling a mag model for $4k but man thats a steep discount, maybe too good to be true.

Rules for posting in the For Sale Section:

All Sales must comply with All State & Federal Laws regarding the item listed. It is the responsibility of the member listing their items to ensure they fully understand the laws in regards to sale of their items. Each listing must fully lay out the applicable laws in writing when necessary to purchase restrictive items such as Class III items.

    1. You Must be a Full Member to Post. Full Membership means, 100 contributing posts. If you wish to list an item and do not meet these requirements you can pay to post an item in the New Member for sale section. The cost is $25 for 30 Days Access.*

    2. You must fill out your profile with a city, state, and show a valid email address in your profile.

To do this, your city and state information goes in the "Geography" line.

The email we need to see is in the "Public Email Address" box.

    3. Posting an item for sale in any other area but the "For Sale Section" will immediately get the post removed and the User Banned for as long as 30 day or longer without Warning. Sniper's Hide considers these rules as written your initial warning.

    4. Members who lost posts or show less than 100 posts can post. If a member has the ability to post they are okay to post in the eyes of the moderators. New members with less than 100 posts will not be given special consideration in this area. Any attempt to circumvent this including request for prices on items will be removed. Please use the New Member For Sale Section which is a paid section.

    5. Padding of your post count will result in a temporary banning of no less than 1 week. If you post more than 15 posts in a single day you will be considered padding your post regardless of the content and your account will be temporarily suspended.

    6. You must post a Price in your Ad to sell on this site.

Violations of the For Sale Section Rules will be corrected by the moderators or admin without warning. if you break one of these rules you will be banned and your post will be removed. There is no warning. if we see the violation before you correct it, we will remove your access.

Sniper's Hide does not check the validity of posts made in the For Sale Section, and bears no responsibly to ensure a smooth transaction. Users of the For Sale Section do so at their own risk. Any disputes or fraudulent transactions will result in one or both members being removed. Sniper's Hide also cooperates with any and all requests from Law Enforcement without hesitation to prosecute criminals attempting to use this board.

We have a report button so you dont have to make a public post,

But since you did, we can outline what I see, Tucker tends to go deeper than I do.

    1. He paid for access as a member may do.

    2. The IP comes back to the UK

    3. The account appears to have a match to other suspect accounts created back over the summer

to explain this part to people, they make multiple accounts and then leave them dormant until they need them, this appears to be connected to me.

His main IP has changed from all over the US, KY, AL, Etc, to the UK, and the other accounts you can see are fake because the usernames are nonsense initials

I will mark it as SPAM but for sure Buyers, and Sellers beware

I banned his account marked as SPAM so it will be a neon sign to him,

And I banned the 3 other accounts linked to his which make the same trip around the US and overseas.

UK and Canada also appear to be a main account as we tend to block accounts from the other location that flag our system

Here are some tips and clarifications

    1. Members without a 100 posts probably bought access, I have since adjusted the cost to try and discourage this practice.

    2. In the past, we had two methods to gain access, 100 posts or 45 days time on the site. That is no longer active, but: see below

    3. As noted above the Scammers and Spammers will sometimes create more than one account because they are generating IP addresses to make it appear they are in the US. They also have a bunch of email addresses so the system will not flag them as owning more than one account. We can find them depending on their activity, but we have to be looking for it. It's not obvious. If they resurrect an old account that appears valid, verify.

    4. They will sit on dormant accounts and burn through them, so when you see an ad or get contacted because they want to pretend to buy something, the date of their account might be a year ago. So you cannot go by join date, look at their posts and most have no post history. They are not investing time on here.

    5. Review their post history, if it worthless, a bunch of short, lame comments, especially in the FS section, or only done in one day and nothing more until they start shopping, beware.

    6. If you don't want to sell to someone because the initial transaction sounds fishy, I am not gonna hammer you for it. Some may say, "well but I offered, or he said, etc", and you decide, No, that is okay to me, things have changed the world is not the same, not even going back to 2014 pre-scout days.

If you post a WTB and guy with less than 100 posts sends you a PM, Run and Report them. They are first off circumventing the rules, and because this is their primary method. If someone contacts you about selling something in a case where they dont' have access to the FS Section, it's a big Red Flag. I dont' care what the excuse is.

Use the REPORT BUTTON, every post has them.

These guys and accounts are banned from the site, so if they have more than one account we can find them.

Use Best Practices, you are conducting PRIVATE Transactions over the Internet, it's very hard to recover money or products once they ship.

It's a new year and I will definitely look at updating the rules to have the backs of our contributing members who use this site. Also if you are doing business with a company selling on here under the radar we will be cracking down. The Scout days are over, I have given enough leeway in the transition so if you find a company sliding under the radar, tell them, they have to pay. It's pennies on the dollar and keeps this place fair for all. This is my business, not theirs.

I would also suspect that some of these originate from compromised information and accounts that have fallen victim to viruses which harvest usernames and passwords saved in browsers.
If you think saving your logins and passwords in a browser is secure you are sadly mistaken.
I have small programs that I routinely use to retrieve the information from computers in seconds. It gives me the site/ URL, the username, and the saved password in clear text.
One of my clients got nailed by a virus that did this last summer and it took them over a month to cleanup the mess. Stolen accounts, credit cards, emails, and so on.
This shit sells on the dark web for a few dollars per thousand accounts.
The scammers buy it in bulk and work their way through to see what they can use
A compromised snipershide account is an easy way to try get some cash coming their way. Paying with a stolen credit card to gain access is not a big deal.
