Scammer in the for sale section?

What bank would cash a 10k dollar check for someone with out an account there, that has 10k in it?
So this guy Spearfish was trying to buy my scope yesterday. Told me he wanted it. Then said he wanted a pic of the scope with his screen name on a card next to it. No problem. Took it. Emailed it to him. Said he was driving home and would pay in 45 min when he got home. Now it’s been radio silence. Since he had PMd me I didn’t see anything on him (as I’m banned). Not sure what hell want to do with my pic. Other than maybe try and sell it on another site. So if you see this scope up for sale somewhere else. He doesn’t have it.

Edit for Correction- just saw the card in the pic says “spear knives” - believe that guy is already banned. Thought spearfish was a separate individual.

This dude sent me a picture of your scope. I asked him for a picture of the scope with his forum name and date. I can forward you the email.

great question. and one i asked. I got to see an image of the check. written to and signed by someone that wasnt me and wasnt the seller.
i was told that the check was made out to John Doe and that John Doe took it to a bank that he had an account at, and they processed it. apparently that is not an issue or uncommon.
