Scar 20s 6.5

I pre-ordered mine from Eurooptic yesterday. 3999. They have 20 on order. 10 black 10 FDE. Only myself and 1 other have pre-ordered so far. They require 20% down, rest on when they come in. No ETA.

I’ve got my black 6.5 shipping on Monday!

a couple new owners have reported issues, and they are at FN atm, so i might wait and see on the new versions.

What issues? I finally got mine scoped and should be getting range time in the next week or so. I was in the middle of a move and had to put a couple projects on hold.
primer flow, possibly weak hammer spring. there is a heavier spring available but this is just conjecture from others.
i don't think you have to be a member

bummer to hear. if i was rich i would have one on pre-order.
my "old" one has never misfired, fte, ftf, nothing but sweetness.
i do suggest checking torque on the barrel screws before shooting.

Proven Outfitters is taking pre-orders for $3999. For the 6.5 flavor, both colors.

When they had the .308 for $3899 last summer though I was able to get it for $3400 or so on GB. Not now.

I picked up a SCAR 17 for $3049 on Proven, it was even in stock. It's not the best price but it's not a bad one either, not right now anyway. A maximum bid of $2800 on GB was bested with 7 days left to go so I figured it wasn't gonna happen there.

Interesting read, a sample of two doesn't cause me any undue worry. If mine starts acting up then I will deal with it accordingly.

something like this would be great! :ROFLMAO:

stock up on 147gr. eld match,

stock up on 147gr. eld match,

Just read the whole thing, nice review. I'll make you a deal, you send me 500 round of 6.5 ammo and I will run them through my rifle and write you a review.

Any of these in stock anywhere, would like to pick one up. I have a spare Schmidt and bender 5-25 with side mounted aimpoint ready to go
they can pop up but go quickly and since many places have pre-order lists, that doesn't happen often.
one place got 2 and they were sold the next day. one guy on fnforums said he walked into a lgs and found one.

My LGS has had a 308 20S sitting there for weeks now.
if i could only have one, i'd still get the .308.
i don't have a range near me that goes past 900yds, and i like being able to shoot cheap ammo.
if i was going to compete, i'd wait.

Typically I’d agree but I have a few semi 308 and don’t have a 6.5 rifle in my arsenal at the moment, and lots of 6.5 Ammo
I am trying to decide between the scar 20 and the axsa. The 20s seems like the better choice. Don’t see any need for bolt action these days, especially when you can get the type of performance people are getting out of the scar 20s

Scheels seems to have 20s 6.5's and 308's in stock pretty consistently. Not cheap though. If the political environment wasn't so unstable you could snag a good deal on a 6.5 on gunbroker by summer. 308's are plentiful. If you really want one I'd pay the premium. I did. Not happy about it, but they could become extinct soon. I'll thank or curse myself later. AIAX or 20's, yes! Get both. Very different but really fun to shoot.

my ffl has one on backorder for me at a good price ($3899). I feel like i have so much shit paid for, or on backorder, and I am playing the waiting game on many of those things. Hopefully, 2021 will be a better year for guns!
