All you guys who shoot the 155 scenars, I need some help. Working up a load for my 308. My best accuracy node so far is 46.3 gr of varget averaging 2924 fps. My problem is that I have run out of case capacity. I'm using lapua brass. I can't seat out any longer or my bullets won't fit my mags. I want to get to 3000-3050 and see if there is any gains in accuracy. Need some suggestions please. Oh, I don't have any pressure signs yet. This is a new bartlien barrel with a bisely chamber. Brother for mag length I use H4895 or N540 for speed. The Varget is great for long loaded but in mag length try the H4895 or N540. Depending on brass will depend on what amount of each you use but with Lapua brass start around 43.0 grains of H4895 and work up as safety dictates. In one rifle I run 45.0 but in others this shows too hot. My go to is around 44.0 grains with Federal Match Primer in Lapua brass

Have you considered compressing the charge? I could stuff 47.8grs of Varget into a winchester case. You could hear the crunch but I was getting 3140-3150. I ended up with 46.5 going about the same speeds as you (2935) out of a 24" tube because that works for what I need it to do. This all with varget.

Never tried a compressed load. Should I watch out for anything safety wise when doing this?

My H895 load was pushing a 155 Scenar right at 2900 fps from 20" tube. I don't like compressed loads. I stick with the case being just full or 95%. That always gets best accuracy for me and that's the major goal. Speed for speed sake is useless

Are you useing a drop tube this may help
