Scheels is a legit store. I wouldn't have any concerns.I bought one. Hopefully they are real lol
Actually those are great prices so get them while you can. Thing is they signed a dealer agreement they would sell at MAP. This violates that agreement, chances are they will no longer be a authorized dealer come Monday.
Sounds like we better all buy them this weekend thenActually those are great prices so get them while you can. Thing is they signed a dealer agreement they would sell at MAP. This violates that agreement, chances are they will no longer be a authorized dealer come Monday.
In case anyone thinks Kasey’s being a dick about this, understand that he sells on Amazon, and the will price match. When you sell there you have to be super diligent about MAP.Actually those are great prices so get them while you can. Thing is they signed a dealer agreement they would sell at MAP. Kasey just made my morning with this comment lolWrong.
Kasey doesn’t sell on Amazon.
Kasey manufactures the Atlas and expects all authorized dealers to honor their agreement to sell at MAP.
Ok, but you’re still not a dick. ?Wrong.

Kasey lighten up man. Not like your loosing money on these. It’s christmas and we deserve a deal.
It will be alright.
I read thru all of that just wasn't sure if I needed the PSR version or if the "standard" v8 would be fine. Haven't not used one (or played with one) I wasn't sure if the changes were something I would kick myself for not spending the extra money, or never notice.I went through the pain a while ago=
Basically PSR is heavier duty and legs don't rotate (spin) over the V8
From their website:
When the Atlas was selected for the USSOCOM Sniper Rifle system, the Precision Sniper Rifle (PSR) Atlas Bipod was created in response to feedback received from Military testing. These changes include non-rotating outer legs, fore and aft pivot limiting bosses (two pegs that help keep the muzzle level when loading a rifle to the bipod) and a 40% stronger inner leg. All models still include 15 degrees +/- of preloaded Pan and 15 degrees +/- of preloaded Cant. The five leg positions are 0, 45, 90, 135 and 180 degrees. Compare Atlas Bipods.

Get the PRS. The non rotating legs seem worth it to meI read thru all of that just wasn't sure if I needed the PSR version or if the "standard" v8 would be fine. The V8 has fore and aft "play" so the rifle can rock back and forth a bit. The PSR is solid compared to that.I read thru all of that just wasn't sure if I needed the PSR version or if the "standard" v8 would be fine. You're not entitled to "deals" because a popular holiday.Kasey lighten up man. Not like your loosing money on these. It’s christmas and we deserve a deal.

so school me on Atlas bipods- I have two of the standard S-BRM harris bipods and they work fine. But I've got a PVA 6.5 on order (John Hancock) as I get into long(er) distance shooting and trying to "up my game". I've got a couple of friends that shoot PRS matches every so often and might join them at some point, but what model would be recommended as a starting point for an Atlas bipod as a step up from a Harris? I had looked at the BT10 V8 in the past but didn't realize there were so many options.
I get the QR mounts, I have one Harris on a Larue pic rail QR and the other on an aimshot keymod quick release to make them easy to swap around on different rifles/uppers.
do I need the PSR model?
man, i was out in reno/tahoe for business during the time that scheel's opened, what an awesome store, thought it was better than the cabelas down the road. wish they had these back east.Went to the Sparks, NV store today
I don't "need" the JH either, but if you are going to have something that (to me at least) is an heirloom, may as well outfit it decently. I'll start with stuff that'll keep me in the production class if I shoot PRS, but will maybe look at another chassis for my ideal setup. We upgraded 7 things from V8 to PSR, for the 40.00 difference, PSR all the way. But you don’t “need” one, your Harris will serve you well. “Want” is another story...?

Yes, Scheels is so much better. If you have not notice that cabelas is turning into a clothing store, not much gun supplies anymore.
