I'm going to mount my new 12-50x56 on my Barrett M99 50. Experience with this scope on a 50 cal, anyone?

Just concerned about eye relief but if I have a good grip and proper recoil management...

I used the old generation with the 30mm tube on a pellet gun once, lol. It actually held up to the recoil just fine???

It did have ranging focus shift problems so my friend took it back to the place he bought it from.

Hey, at least I bumped your thread!

The scope you are asking about is trash. Pm me and I’ll let you know where to send it, so it can be recycled properly. ? I’ll sent you a 1-4 tasco to make up the shipping costs.

My offer still stands, I can upgrade the offer to a center point fresh from Wally World. 3-9. If you pay shipping both ways, I’ll upgrade to a 4-16

Maybe an original m&p 40. Don’t have to say it’s broke. Worst handgun I’ve ever owned, even before it self destructed. S&w did a great job of repairing it by giving a 6 year old a chainsaw file. Sorry for the rant, but the first m&p’s sucked. Had a m&p 22 that blew up in my face from an out of battery discharge. Thank god it was just a .22.

Should be fine with the eye relief, but not ideal. You’d get another entire inch with pretty much any other S&B optic (or different manufacturer). I run a S&B 3-27x PMII myself.

To me, the 12-50x is intended for non-magnum usage, not because it can’t take the abuse (it can), but because at anything over 25x recoil sight picture isn’t ideal. Just depends on what type of shooting you are doing of course.
