Was looking at buying a Schmidt Bender 8x56 Klassik or the 6x fixed series for my Tikka T3x CTR 308 deer stand rifle. Most shots under 300 yards. Any opinions on these optics besides that they are old technology? How is customer service and can any of these be bought with parallex adjustments. Thanks.

Excellent optics for their age and one in good shape will suit you well in dusk or dawn conditions - they make the most of whatever light there is. Excellent customer service, no parallax (albeit you can have it fixed at another distance at the factory).

Other options that are similar include Swarovski, Zeiss and Kahles. Meopta still makes a one inch 7x56 as well which is equally impressive in the dark. I currently own the illuminated Meopta for night hunting.

If you have the money for it, a Zeiss Victory HT 3-12x56 will handily beat any of these despite being a variable, and you can get it with their excellent ASV+ (BDC) turrets.

Man... for deer work within 300 yards, I'd just be wanting a 4x. I guess a 6x works since you'll be in a nice solid stand and can stabilize nicely. I'd do a 6x no problem if I'm in a fixed field stand overlooking farmland or something. I tend to ground hunt or go up in a saddle so I keep the zoom low. I've never needed more than 4x in any hunting scenario inside of 300 yards. Oddly my favorite scope is the fixed 4x on my muzzle.
