Rifle Scopes Schmidt Bender PMII 5-25x56 MTC/LT Turrets

Thank you Rob01 for proving my point: That the MSR reticle is much easier to use with simple hash marks at .1 milradian intervals. No half circles, hollow circles, hash marks and such. You just line it up and read the reading. One interesting fact is that getting these readings accurately while laying prone is a challenge. With rifle movement, even the slightest, throughs off everything. The MSR reticle, being more simple, allows for a more accurate reading. I sometimes get within 1-2 meters of actual distance. The H2CMR is a great reticle, an improvement over the original mil-dot, but more complicated than the MSR. While it took procovert45 two lines to explain the ranging function, it took you several pages.

MSR is not simpler and not more accurate. I just went into greater detail to help a new shooter. Anyone who knows how to use a mil reticle can use either very simply. The hollow dots are not difficult to use and are actually easier to see at lower powers to use the scope than hash marks. I picked up the H2CMR from the P4F and immediately saw the benefits and improvements to the set up. Laying behind a scope and using a reticle is not a challenge. If it is then you need to work on your fundamentals. Movement of the scope will effect either reticle when trying to take a reading. The MSR will be moved just like the H2CMR would. The difference is I am using the main reticle to do everything and you are using another scale.

You guys keep thinking that $200 less in your pocket was worth it. I don't have to justify why the H2CMR works. It just does. ;)

I have 4 of these scopes and love them. I am not an extremely experienced shooter or have much experience with any other scope but I like the feel of the MTC. I also think that the locking turrets is a great asset. I say this because once you are shooting at a set range, you lock the turrets and just dope the wind, no worries about bumping the turrets and having them move. These are features I find useful, and you may or may not like them but for the money you spend on glass get what feels right.
