I started doing research on a new custom build and the 6mm cm seems very interesting.I have never shot one and nobody down the range has one.So far I'm looking at a manners T2A and a lone peak fusion action.Any input would be helpfull.

Nothing really groundbreaking, but easy to load for if you're into that.
Doesn't have the case capacity to run some of the slower powders that work well in the 243, 6mmSLR, and so on.
I'm wishing I would have gone with a 7 twist instead of an 8 so I could try the 115's for a bit more ass on target. Other than that, I'm pleased with mine.

Been running my (low node) loads out to 1400 yards at altitude. Should be taking it longer within the next month. Curious that you might have had some real time results showing an issue.

What are you running? I've got an 8 twist 6 Creed barrel coming and was looking at using the 107smk (or the 110 if my barrel likes them) and finding a node at 2850-3000.

Looking to shoot a less expensive, more available bullet and extend barrel life. Just curious if I'm going about this all wrong.

    My low node is 2940 at 30 deg’s. With DTAC 115, H4350.

A cut rifled Rock creek from PVA 7.5 twist is what I've got coming for my new venture into 6 Creed... It's for my Nucleus project, hope it doesn't disappoint... Gonna try out the factory 108 ELD first, then maybe try out the 110 SMK after I've burned the hornady stuff up...

Thank's for all the input on the 6mm cm,How is the recoil prepared to the 308 and the 6.5 cm? The reason i ask is because of a injury i have in my spine and i can no longer shoot the 308.

    Berger 105 hybrid @ 3130, 1850ish on the barrel.
    Still shoots plenty tight.

Same here 3130 with Berger hybrids if I get 1850 rounds I will be tickled.I chose creed over all the other 6’s because I had to pick one so why not pick one no fire forming, plenty brass, stupid [email protected] many choices these days that all perform and the creed is just one of them.Rthur,I’m running R26 what powder did you end up with?

I am running 6mm Creedmoor out of my AIAX. I chose it mostly for the availability of factory ammo. The Factory Hornady stuff shoots well out of my rifle.

With reloads I am running mine with slower burning powders to attempt to preserve barrel life. I can push a 105 Berger Hybrid to 2987 fps with H1000 and 3182fps with VVN165. I have read that VVN165 is a 'cooler burning' powder similar to H1000 but have no data to back that up.
I am currently running a middle node with VVN165 going 3077fps. I plan to chase the lands and then switch to 115DTACs. I am less than 600 rounds right now so no evidence if my plan is going to work.

Recoil is mild with a good brake, substantially less than a .308 in my opinion.

I tried the whole "low node" thing with two barrels.

It made no difference in barrel life for me. So I go ahead and grab that extra 100fps. I still swap at about 1700'ish rounds after I've chased it out about .030 to .040".

If a person were less fussy or not competing, I have no doubts they could get 2k+ out of the average barrel.

That's interesting to hear. What were your low nodes?
