School shooting in MI

No word yet on the race of the shooter.
The Sig handgun had recently been purchased by the father.
No pictures of the father to establish race either.
No interviews with the witnesses to describe the POS.

Almost like they don't want us to know.

Reports the 16 yr old young man who died rushed the shooter, ignoring the danger, and saved other kids by doing so.

Not unlike Kendrick Castillo at the STEM school here in the Denver area.

Good to see some folks still raising men.
Im gonna celebrate him.

Also, apparently multiple warnings this kid who is the presumed shooter was violent and making threats.

I was listening to the TV and I thought I heard that the killer and his parents met with the principal the morning of the shootings. So, there was something brewing for at least a few hours. I wonder why they didn't check his bookbag and person for a weapon that morning? I also wonder how serious this was for the parents to be called into the school for a meeting?

It's all Monday morning Quarterbacking, but this is just another incidence of someone knowing something and they did nothing to prevent these deaths.

That came pretty quick compared to another recent event....

People think convenience over safety don't be like it be... but it do.

We can't put metal detectors and armed security in schools, that'll take forever to get them into the building in the morning ... oooookie dokie 👌

We can't stop 20,000 kids a year from dying in car accidents by raising the driving age since studies show teens engage in risk taking behavior and lack the maturity to drive safely... then WE would have to drive them around!!!

Serious question. Dad buys new Sig (when did they start putting that long slide release on???), got it. Kid kills students 4 days later with gun.
Did parents have ZERO clue their kid was troubled? Did kid just snap? Where was gun for kid to take? Did dad know gun was missing? Lot's of questions...pointed directly to parents.

Hate to say it but the Father should be charged with accessory to murder. Parents had to know the kid had issues and with that knowledge leaving a gun available in the home makes them just as guilty. If they would start charging the parents just maybe these people would start buying gun safes or deciding not to bring a weapon into the household at all when your dealing with a child with issues.

I'm a little torn on this but haven't spent much time thinking it through..as of now I'm leaning towards agreement.

But no matter my opinion, the dad is probably fucked.

It seems every time this happens more of my gun rights automatically come under fire like after the prosecutor was getting done explaining the charges she jump into gun control rant.

Parent raises a kid who is bullied at school.

Parent buys a handgun and doesn't secure it properly with a child who is being bullied at school.

Parents are summoned to school to talk about their bullied child acting out to a point that the administrators are concerned.

Parents don't do anything to prevent this slaughter from happening.

It's a parenting issue to be sure.

The parents may bear culpability in allowing the shit head to have access to the gun (and they do greatly in my opinion), but it was the shit head who did the shooting. Fifteen is plenty old enough to know what murder means, and also plenty old enough to go away for life (or better yet death if it were still allowed at that age) as a result. He took the gun to school, loaded it, shot it with intent to kill, reloaded it, and did it some more. He may not be alone in responsibility, but he bears the overwhelming brunt of it.

Good parenting, especially in this day and age, can still bring up dumbass teenagers who do the worst of things. Take one look at Tik Tok and you'll see a massive amount of shit which is filling their heads. The ChiComs have developed their most effective weapon yet with that shit.

It's the parents fault for not searching his backpack at school? Nope.

They hold some responsibility, but this is just like the left going after gun manufacturers, it's a witch hunt to send a message.

but let’s not forget about the bullies and the motherfuckers at the school who were fully aware that the kid was being bullied. what did they do to stop it?

when a kid is bullied at school and his parents dont have his. back, what can he do? if you go to the police, they tell you “it is a school issue.”. you go to the school; some schools take action, some dont. then there is society……we tie the hands of people so no one can take effective action without risking everything they’ve ever worked for.

all this gets us to the point where people snap. until our society addresses all these issues at their core, it will keep on happening. and unfortunately, no one gives a fuck until after some kid snaps; and then, they still dont care-they are just scrambling trying to shift the blame and cover their ass.

shitty parenting on the shooters end, shitty parenting on the bullies end. and a total failure of the school system. plenty of blame to go around. i’d like to see a whole bunch of fucksticks prosecuted.

Kids bully kids all the time. It's been like that forever. Did you ever play sports in HS? The bigger kids on th team always picked on the smaller guys. Did you ever play smear the queer? It was sanctioned by the coaches and it was a way to toughen up the smaller players. Just because you played sports didn't mean you were immune to it. There's a hierarchy for all students. It's no different with girls, some might say it's even worse.

I learned in elementary school, that you can't let the bullies win. Take a beating if you must, but the bully won't look at you the same after the fight. If you let it get bottled up, this type of thing can happen. I guess society has changed all that. No one wants to fist fight. They're afraid a knife or gun could be pulled. But I've gotta say, when you went out to ball field to settle it, either you got beat up or you did the beating, but afterwards those 2 never fought again and in many instances were friends afterwards.

Society sucks today. No if, and or buts.

What time were the charges filed? The fucking sheriff didn't even know that they were filed!! And these people were fugitives (according to the media) moments after the filing when even the sheriff didn't know?
Good grief. I figured that there would be a tad bit more sceptism of the Pravda after the last five years. But, ohh god, ohh god!! they are running because they haven't turned themselves in (within a few hours).
I guess they, the Pravda, can now sell sand in the desert

I was bullied in school. From 6th grade until I graduated.
I never once thought about killing people.

Hmmm.
DA filed charges and turned over an arrest warrant to the US Marshalls doesn't notify the local sheriff. Attorneys for the parents are in court until 2:45 and according to the DA the whole world should have known and being in court is not an excuse to not know charges would be filed.
The DA used the Marshall's office and the Pravda to set up a narrative that they were fugitives. And she just used that in the bond hearing.

500K bail no 10% for each parent ,if they can make bail they must have GPS ankle monitors and drug testing. Man they do throw the book at you if your white, usually judges give money to people who actually murdered someone as they release them into the public is 15 minutes.
