Rifle Scopes scope alternative, need help

So I am eyeing an NF nxs f1 3.5-15 mil/mil. I am seeking possible alternatives at the moment with the following features. If I can find a cheaper alternative that would be great but currently I'm still leaning towards the NF

mil/mil adjustments with adjustable knobs
variable magnification up to 15 or more
First focal plane.
$1500-$1700 ball park would be great.

I have heard about USO but there is just something I don't like about the looks, personal preference I guess. I was considering leupold as an alternative but I get the vibe its not anyones top choice around here.

IOR 3.5-18x50 is an option but is $1750.

the cheap route would be a PST or a Weaver Tactical. sub $1k.

IOR or used Vortex Razor is about the best you can get in that price range
