Looking for a few suggestions for scoping a Bushmaster Predator. I am looking for a variable, light enough to carry for yotes, with enough magnification to shoot prairie dogs. It should have external elevation adjustments and decent glass. Is there anything like this for under $500? I have a 6.5-20 Conquest on another AR and like this scope, however, I may have difficulty finding one for under 500

Re: Scope for AR

Leupold makes an AR15 scope that is about $300. Then there is always the Redfield scope with the accu-range reticle. I have the Redfield's in 2-7 on my AR15, and 4-12 on a .308 FNAR. Both scopes have good optical quality for the price, and have worked just as advertised by the manufacturer. I'm really happy with them for the price.

Of course, a $600 Leupold Mk IV 3-9x40 is better, but it costs over twice as much.

No problem. If you get one let us know how she performs!
