Sir,
Before you get blindsided I would strongly recommend you use the search function on this site and Google under advanced and limit the function to snipershide.com. There are many things that you should consider before you purchase your scope and there are many things you need to understand more thoroughly before a recommendation would have any meaning. With all the knowledge you will gain in your search you will hopefully gain some wisdom.

I missed that part....
That being said....get the AK.....
If this is “life insurance” as you state I am questioning if you are fundamentally are few bricks short of a load.
Just sayin.....

3.5-15x50 NF NXS is looking like the way to go.
