Rifle Scopes Scope mount for AI AT .308 + S&B 5-25 X 56?

I am about to put down a deposit on the above, and am unsure what mount(s) to get, as well as built in angle/cant (the term escapes me at moment) of the mount.

I will be shooting this primarily 400 - 1200 yards.

My AWSM has the one piece base dovetail mount. Is this best choice, with pic rail base, for the AT?

On a vid with lowlight I saw him using what appeared to be a quick disconnect lighter weight looking one piece base mount with an AX 308.

No idea. I'd use something low though. That AT base looks high as hell.

We are planning to make a batch of low picrails for the AT as the orignal rail seems to be very high.
But we can't start as I yet not have got any in my hand.

Sounds like a good option when available. If rail flat would suspect you'll need at least 20-30 MOA mount.

The AT does not have the dovetail like the AW... Very much looking forward to Mr. Spuhr' lower mount.

I will most certainly be buying a new rail and mount combo from Spuhr to put on my AT once it gets here. I hope you are able to get your hands on one to fab the low profile rail up and out to us. I see no reason to have the stock AT rail unless you are planning on running night vision/thermal.
