I'm looking for a scope recommendation for an 18" AR15 SPR I built. It will mostly be used for shooting steel at 100-300 yards and occasionally at 600 yards. I have a 16" Recce with an Aimpoint for run and gun, so I thought maybe a 2-10 type scope would be best, but I'd listen to arguments for 1-6/8 or 3-15 if anyone has them. I basically don't want the scope to be too big and heavy, as I sometimes will fire it offhand rather than prone/bench.
I'd like to get an FFP in MIL if possible, other than that I don't have a lot of requirements. Budget would probably be up to $2000, but I'd really like to keep it under $1500 if possible, or even $1000 if such a scope suited my needs, as I have other projects I'd like to put money in.
