Rifle Scopes Scope rings/Base(s)

Hey guys, being new to the site, I would really like some opinions. What are some of the highest quality, stoutest, in other words best rings and bases, for a 700 short action?

I am more familiar with AR stuff, although I know a little bit about the bolt gun stuff. However, there are a lot of brands that you guys use(can't remember the names), that I am not even familiar with. Thanks in advance, Josh

I would look at APAs rings for sure. I have a set and am VERY pleased with them. Second I would look at Near Mfg (out of Canada) Richard makes some very high quality stuff as well. His rings would be my second choice (behind APAs) and his bases are some of the best made. Nightforce also makes very nice rings and bases for the 700 as well. I would use a Badger base but I have never been a fan of their rings I am not going to get into it but I just dont use them of would recommed them. Spuhr also makes some very high quality optic mounting systems that offer some very nice features. This is basically my short list: #1 APA, #2 Near

I use to run all Nighforce rings. Now I run Jared's Apa ring.

Seekins are good for the price, & their CS is excellent
