scope rings for pst 4-16x50 savage 10 fcp-sr 308

Hi i just ordered a New savage model 10 fcp-sr in 308 and a vortex viper pst 4-16x50 ffp. im looking for some advice on scope rings. what brand, hight, etc. any help would be greatly apreciated thanks!

Seekins 30mm Medium height would probably work very well. Height can be a personal thing considering everyones face/cheeks are different though.

i have the Viper 6.5-20x50 with Vortex's medium height rings and a 20 MOA base. the rings and base were made by Seekins for Vortex. excellent set up.

I got medium XTR's on a Ferrel 20moa base with a MK4 50mm

Running NF low titanium rings and NF 20moa base with my 4-16 pst. Plenty of clearance for BC caps while keeping a nice sight picture from my normal cheek weld.

low burris XTR's on a 20 MOA ferrel with a 4-16x50 millett and BC cap and it still clears the barrel

I have the same rifle ordered and PST 6-24 to go on top. The scope will be in before the rifle.....3 more weeks for the scope and 4 weeks for the Savage...

I hate waiting, but I think it will be a pretty nice set up.

What is the total length of that rifle? The Savage site doesn't state it. I am guessing it's about as long as the 10FCP (47"). When one of you gets this I'd like to hear how well the DBM clears when using a bipod and a rear bag. It looks pretty tall in the pic. I'm beginning to lean more toward this than the 10FCP 5R if only for the bottom metal and larger DBM, but DBM availability has be worried. Any aftermarket DBMs for this yet?

I suggest lows in either seekins or Burris extremes

look at my photo in my sig. thats a SSS 10 round and its not much longer than an Alpha 10 rounder and thats a 6-9 bipod and my mag clears. i run CDI DBM and there are a few other choices. SSS=acme and rayhill has one of his own and there is Vbull or Dbull for savage too
